Job Overview

WSP Canada is seeking a seasoned engineer to enhance their geotechnical division. In the capacity of project leader, you will oversee a variety of geotechnical initiatives, guiding junior and intermediate engineers while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams within WSP. Your duties will encompass crafting technical service proposals, orchestrating geotechnical projects, executing numerical modeling, and advancing geotechnical proficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and evaluate technical service proposals
  • Design and update geotechnical investigation strategies
  • Manage geotechnical projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and financial plans
  • Engage in the comprehensive project management lifecycle
  • Perform numerical modeling to support geotechnical design efforts
  • Compose technical documentation and design notes
  • Guide and mentor junior personnel
  • Foster client relationships
  • Contribute to advancements in geotechnical practices
  • Comply with WSP quality standards
  • Uphold safety regulations
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geological engineering
  • Postgraduate studies in geotechnical engineering, mining, or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills in French
  • Fluency in English
  • More than 10 years of experience in geotechnics
  • Expertise in geotechnical design and numerical modeling
  • Registered member of the Quebec Order of Engineers
  • ASP construction certification
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and share expertise
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety
