Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Spa Therapist to join our team at Shangri-La Vancouver. As a Spa Therapist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional spa treatments to our guests, ensuring a luxurious and relaxing experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide spa treatments including facials, body scrubs/wraps, manicures, pedicures, and massage treatments in accordance with CHI, the Spa standards.
  • Ensure treatments are completed in a consistent manner and within the allocated timeframe, handling any guest complaints promptly.
  • Interact with guests to maintain close contact, actively seeking feedback on the guest experience, treatments, and services offered at the spa.
  • Welcome and greet guests, update records, complete consultations, and provide refreshments as required.
  • Maintain the highest level of guest privacy and confidentiality.
  • Complete therapist administration at the end of each day, including guest records, stock lists, and communicating important information.
  • Successfully promote and sell all available services, products, and therapies.
  • Maintain impeccable standards of room and personal cleanliness, safety, and hygiene.
  • Monitor the status of all equipment and notify the Spa Manager if there are any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Ensure assigned treatment rooms are fully stocked with professional products and restock as required.
  • Actively demonstrate teamwork, safe work practices, open communication, accuracy in transactions, respect, sincerity, helpfulness, courtesy, and humility.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of all treatments provided in the spa, including products and treatment origins, and stay up-to-date on industry trends and luxury spa standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, programs, and core practices.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side duties of Chi Spa as assigned.
  • Undertake other ad hoc related responsibilities as required.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited esthetics or body work program is required.
  • Previous work experience in a similar capacity with a luxury spa is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of international spa treatments, procedures, and operations is preferred.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adhere to a strict timeline of tasks.
  • Having an established, loyal clientele looking for a new higher level spa experience would be most helpful.
