About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at PRABHSIMRAN CONSTRUCTION LTD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes, utilizing measuring tools and equipment.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
  • Develop and submit tenders and quotations for construction projects.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, ensuring precise fit and finish.
  • Coordinate and schedule work on construction sites, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Supervise and lead other workers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Estimate costs and materials, ensuring accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
Work Environment

This role requires working at heights, in dusty conditions, and in various construction settings, including residential, renovation, and millwork environments.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the trade or equivalent experience.
