Job Summary

Providence Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Staff Nurse in the Perinatal Program. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to patients and families in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using evidence-based practice and clinical judgment.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating patient and family learning needs and preferences.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and policies.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of medical/surgical experience, with a preference for 2 years.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge and ability to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
