Key Responsibilities
- Animal Care and Handling
- Transport, prepare, and distribute food to the cattle;
- Handle, restrain, and move cows safely and humanely;
- Clean and disinfect stalls to maintain a clean and healthy environment;
- Participate in milking, monitor changes in animal health, and report any issues to the responsible person.
- Operational Support
- Assist with daily animal care tasks, including feeding, watering, and monitoring animal health;
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment;
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve animal care and operational goals.
- Communication and Teamwork
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and veterinarians to ensure seamless animal care and operational processes;
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge;
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment.
Requirements
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Post-secondary education in animal science, veterinary technology, or a related field is an asset.
- Experience
- One year of relevant cattle experience, preferably in an animal care or veterinary setting;
- Proven ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced animal care environment.
- Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Physical stamina to perform animal care tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
What We Offer

- $23.36 to $28.72 per hour, based on experience;
- 12% wage increase for temporary employee benefits;
