About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Lineman/Woman to join our team at Amps Powerline. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical distribution and transmission systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install electrical distribution and transmission systems, including overhead and underground power lines and cables.
  • Electrical Work: Splice, solder, and insulate conductors and related wiring to connect power distribution and transmission networks.
  • Inspection and Testing: Inspect overhead and underground power lines and cables and auxiliary equipment to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Training and Development: Instruct apprentices and provide on-the-job training to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with other workers to coordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Powerline Technician Trade Certification and Powerline Technician Red Seal Certificate.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's licence.
  • Health Benefits: Dental plan, health care plan, and vision care benefits.
  • Work Environment: Work in a variety of locations, including outdoors, at heights, and underground.
