About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team at a reputable long-term care and rehabilitation facility in Edmonton. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensure all department areas, including public spaces, are clean and well-maintained.
  • Supply Management: Stock and manage cleaning supplies to ensure they are readily available.
  • Waste Disposal: Properly dispose of garbage and bio-hazardous materials.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Sterilize and disinfect equipment according to health and safety policies.
  • Cleaning Assignments: Complete regularly scheduled cleaning tasks and special cleaning assignments as needed.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Interact positively with residents, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Communication: Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Physical Demands: Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, stretching, and moving heavy objects.
  • Cleaning Knowledge: Knowledgeable about cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Team Player: Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team to provide excellent care.
  • Background Check: Willingness to undergo a vulnerable sector check as part of the employment process.
