About the Role

C.F.R Dorchester inc. is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machine tools and equipment to produce high-quality parts and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
  • Operate and maintain machine tools, including milling machines, lathes, and grinders, to produce parts and products.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect and test parts and products to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
