This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to join a leading industry association and contribute to shaping public policy and industry actions for the benefit of Canadians.
Key Responsibilities- Lead federal, provincial, and territorial regulatory and policy development initiatives to advance a circular economy and improve environmental performance.
- Collaborate with members and industry partners to inform policy and best practices on Extended Producer Responsibility, emissions reduction, data collection, and reporting.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive sustainability and regulatory affairs initiatives.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on regulatory and policy matters.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and environmental organizations.
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, such as sustainability, environmental science, or business.
- 10 years of experience in regulatory affairs, sustainability, or ESG.
- Direct experience in emissions reduction, circular economy, and Extended Producer Responsibility.
- Experience in the grocery, manufacturing, or recycling sectors, or within an environmental organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical and regulatory documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to internal and external stakeholders.
