Overview

Creative Manitoba is dedicated to connecting, showcasing, and promoting visual and performing artists with communities throughout the province. As a member-focused organization, we provide a variety of programs to support rural arts organizations, including conferences, artist tours, exhibitions, and special initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will be tasked with the following:

Marketing Initiatives

  • Assess and refine marketing communication strategies and initiatives.
  • Implement effective communication strategies and initiatives.
  • Develop and execute a promotional calendar for all Creative Manitoba events.
  • Disseminate information regarding webinars, programs, services, and conferences.
  • Compose the monthly newsletter and maintain engaging communication campaigns.
  • Conduct research, write, and edit content for diverse communication channels.
  • Oversee the distribution of campaign materials through direct mail and in-person outreach. Manage social media platforms.
  • Prepare marketing analytics reports as necessary.
  • Draft and coordinate comprehensive media releases, biographies, print advertisements, and promotional materials for events. Arrange interviews with media outlets.

Website Management

  • Regularly update and maintain the organization’s website, preparing written content or sourcing materials from team members.
  • Monitor website analytics and provide actionable insights.

Graphic Design

  • Create graphics for social media, newsletters, event posters, and conference programs using established templates.

Event Coordination

  • Support activities at gallery events, online webinars, information sessions, and conferences, ensuring displays are well-coordinated.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience. We value diverse combinations of education, employment, volunteer, and personal experiences, and encourage applicants to highlight these in their submissions.

Compensation

This position offers an annual salary of $40,000 with benefits for a 32-hour work week.
