Cashier Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Gentlemen's Liquor Store. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, cash wrap, and stockroom
  • Restock shelves and merchandise as needed
  • Operate a cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions
  • Assist with inventory management, including counting and reconciling inventory
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays
  • Support sales floor activities, including restocking shelves and facing merchandise
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous retail or customer service experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
