About the Role
This position is part of the Government of Canada - Western team, responsible for financial management and control.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial plans and budgets to ensure effective resource allocation.
- Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Monitor and control financial systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Manage financial records and accounts, including manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Develop and implement software testing policies and procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Lead and coordinate teams of data administrators to develop and implement data policies, standards, and models.
- Recruit, organize, train, and manage staff to ensure effective team performance.
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Work Environment
This role requires working at a physical location, with no option for remote work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in financial management and control.
