GENERAL FUNCTION
The Optical Specialist embodies the brand's value proposition and contributes to establishing LensCrafters as the leading choice for vision solutions in the community. This role creates significant value for customers by delivering exceptional service and expertly crafted eyewear that surpasses expectations.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Welcomes all customers warmly, ensuring they understand the service process and feel valued. Customizes eyewear fittings and accurately integrates prescriptions into lenses. Serves as a knowledgeable resource for associates, enhancing optical expertise. Takes precise measurements, adjusts eyewear, and ensures that finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications. Attracts new clientele through effective engagement. Identifies customer needs through thoughtful questioning and attentive listening. Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, asking clarifying questions and reviewing prescriptions for accuracy. Assists colleagues with complex product inquiries and prescription challenges. Utilizes store resources and adheres to Brand Store Commitments. Executes tasks with precision, leveraging technology to enhance customer experience and demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge. Proactively addresses customer concerns, seeking long-term solutions and ensuring satisfaction. Effectively manages multiple priorities and time constraints. Commits to timelines and actively seeks feedback and referrals. Aims for outstanding performance on Brand KPIs and competencies. Engages customers during product pick-up, providing education and celebration of their choices. Maintains an organized and inviting store environment, safeguarding company assets. Communicates safety opportunities to management and practices safe work habits. Exhibits a proactive attitude and a strong drive for achieving results, with a commitment to continuous learning. Follows company policies and procedures, including those related to promotions and inventory management. Engages in active selling throughout the workday. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary. Adheres to the dress code, including name tag and professional appearance.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent State Licensure Experience in optical dispensing Strong customer service abilities: effective communicator, attentive listener, and team player Familiarity with current store merchandise Proficient basic math skills Awareness of contemporary fashion trends Sales skills, including proficiency with technology Comfortable using POS systems, computers, and calculators Open to new technologies and changesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
