Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Sushi Culinary Specialist to join our vibrant kitchen team at Kimchi Sushi. This role requires a passion for Japanese cuisine and a commitment to excellence in food preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Recipe Development: Innovate and create new sushi recipes to enhance our menu.
  • Training and Instruction: Guide and instruct kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of sushi dishes.
  • Supervision: Oversee the activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Food Preparation: Regularly prepare and cook sushi, catering to both everyday customers and special events.
  • Supply Management: Requisition necessary food and kitchen supplies to maintain kitchen efficiency.
  • Staff Recruitment: Participate in the hiring process to build a skilled kitchen team.
  • Training: Provide training to staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years and up to 3 years of relevant experience in a sushi kitchen.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: Availability to work between 30 to 40 hours per week.
