Position Overview

The role of the Food Services Supervisor at 49th Parallel Roasters involves overseeing the daily operations of our culinary team. This position is crucial in ensuring that our food quality and service standards are consistently met.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Work Environment

The supervisor will be working in a dynamic coffee shop setting, where teamwork and efficiency are key.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff engaged in food preparation and portioning.
  • Provide training to staff on their job responsibilities, as well as sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards for food and service.
  • Maintain accurate records related to inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
  • Compile food order summaries for the chef to facilitate efficient operations.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the culinary styles offered by the establishment.
Supervisory Scope

This position will involve supervising a team of:

  • 3-4 individuals
  • 5-10 individuals
  • Staff across various responsibilities
Experience Required

A minimum of 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience is necessary for this role.
