Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Systems Specialist to join our Facilities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and comfortable living and working environment for our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain boilers, air compressors, and chillers, ensuring they are in safe operating condition.
  • Conduct water testing and safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Respond to maintenance work orders and repair a wide range of mechanical equipment, including beds, wheelchairs, lifts, and HVAC units.
  • Perform yard maintenance, including snow removal, and service electrical equipment up to 220 volts.
  • Support the Facilities team to provide a comfortable and safe environment for clients and staff.
Requirements
  • Manitoba 3rd Class Power Engineer Certificate.
  • Grade XII Diploma or Certificate.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
  • Several years of experience in maintaining environmental systems in a large facility.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, often in hot, cold, noisy, dusty conditions, and in confining spaces. They must be physically capable of meeting the demands of the position and maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
