We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room at Royal Columbian Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, working closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess and plan nursing care for patients, identifying and addressing their physical and psycho-social needs.
- Provide scrub and circulating duties in the Operating Room, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of care.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the correct instruments and equipment are available for each procedure.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and research to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- One year's recent relevant clinical nursing experience in the Operating Room, with completion of post-graduate coursework and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area.
- Clinical proficiency in the designated clinical area, with the ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessment and provide nursing care through appropriate technical, therapeutic, and safety interventions.
