About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to join our team at Scotiabank. As a Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in driving team effectiveness and facilitating agile practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Facilitation: Lead and facilitate agile ceremonies, including iteration planning, iteration review, retrospectives, and daily standups.
  • Impediment Removal: Identify and remove impediments that hinder team productivity and quality of deliverables.
  • Agile Coaching: Coach the development team on agile principles and practices, and help them adopt an agile mindset.
  • Process Improvement: Facilitate identifying and enacting improvement strategies to increase team productivity and quality of deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and nurture strong partnering relationships with Product Owner/Business Sponsor and stakeholders.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and senior leaders to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer engineering, business, Information sciences or other related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of IT experience, 5+ years of performing hands-on Scrum Master role, and 7+ years of People Management experience.
  • Skills: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, and individual may have ScrumMaster Certification (CSM).
