Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist our construction team with various tasks, including loading and unloading materials, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and performing routine maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, such as concrete and asphalt, from trucks and equipment.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and lubricate cranes, mixers, and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning up chemical spills and removing rubble and debris from construction sites.
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Assist in providing physical accessibility accommodations, such as ramps and elevators, and participate in government or community programs that support persons with disabilities.

  • Support for Youth: Assist in providing on-the-job training and mentorship to youth, and participate in programs that support youth employment.
  • Support for Veterans: Assist in providing support and resources to veterans, such as mentorship and job training, and participate in programs that support veteran employment.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Assist in providing cultural competency training and awareness to employees, and participate in programs that support Indigenous people.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Assist in providing phased retirement options and resources to mature workers, and participate in programs that support mature worker employment.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Assist in providing diversity and cross-cultural training to employees, and participate in programs that support visible minorities.
