Greenhouse Farmhand

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Labourer to join our team at Amber Greenhouse & Farms Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating on our vertical farming system, performing greenhouse cleaning, and guiding growing shoots into optimal development positions.

• Cultivate on vertical farming system
• Greenhouse cleaning
• Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions
• Hand harvesting vegetables
• Harvest seedlings
• Maintain and manage growth of vines, vine canopy and grapes
• Mixing fertilizer
• Seed cutting
• Weeding
• Write daily basic progress reports
• Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides
• Mix and prepare soils
• Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings
• Apply fertilizers
• Report signs of insect or disease damage
• Dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
• Clean work area

• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
• Experience: Will train
• Work Term: Permanent
• Work Language: English
• Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
