We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Consultant to join our Land Quality and Remediation team at SLR Consulting (Canada).
About the Role
As an Environmental Consultant, you will work closely with a team of professionals to design, implement, and deliver a wide range of projects for a diverse client base across various sectors, including Power, Energy, Infrastructure, Mining, Industrial, and Built Environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of contaminated sites projects, including site investigations, monitoring and sampling programs, and remediation programs, to ensure successful project delivery with respect to health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, and client satisfaction.
- Coordination and supervision of field staff and subcontractors.
- Engagement of experienced senior team members to develop work plans and execute projects.
- Analysis and interpretation of environmental data and preparation of technical reports for senior review and submission to clients and regulators.
- Liaison and relationship building with clients and other project stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Active participation in proposals and other business development opportunities to build SLR's client base and revenue stream.
- Provision of technical leadership through mentoring of staff during project delivery and for other aspects such as Health and Safety, training, team building and other, as required.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to integrate findings and interpretations with various scientific, planning, and engineering disciplines.
- Actioning difficult project challenges with curiosity and positivity.

We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of advisory and over 30 technical environmental and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability.
What We Offer

- The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.

Qualifications/Education/Memberships
- 5+ years of experience in the environmental consulting industry.
- Strong technical background in environmental site assessment and remediation, waste discharge permitting and compliance, and/or construction environmental management.
- Working knowledge of provincial (BC CSR) and federal (CCME) environmental regulations and guidelines.
- Undergraduate or Master's degree in environmental science, engineering, or geosciences preferred.
- Professional status or eligibility for professional status with a professional organization.
- Valid driver's license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required for travel to job sites/clients.
