The Government of Northwest Territories is seeking a highly skilled Community Dietitian, North to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in promoting healthy communities and well-being through excellence, accountability, and respect for regional diversity.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement nutrition programs based on identified needs and priority setting, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and community members.
- Provide education and counseling to clients of all ages and their families on appropriate diet, nutrition, and self-management methods.
- Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for nutrition-related services, including enteral nutrition.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that meet the nutritional needs of patients.
- Stay up-to-date with current dietetic standards of practice and nutrition research to ensure evidence-based practice.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nutrition and completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship program, or Master's degree in Nutrition.
- One (1) year of recent experience in acute/ambulatory care, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eligibility for current registration/certification with a provincially regulated association of Registered Dietitians.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Competitive salary range: $49.12 per hour to $58.68 per hour (approximately $95,784. - $114,426.) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $14,661.
