About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Manager to join our Critical Infrastructure team at Parsons Corporation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inter-disciplinary teams of professionals and supporting labor categories to deliver environmental site assessments and remediation projects.
- Provide technical leadership in the design and project management of contaminated sites and remediation projects, including investigations, remediation design, and management.
- Coordinate and oversee Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments, as well as remedial design and site remediation oversight.
- Peer review technical documents and reports, and support business development activities, including proposal preparation.
- Manage project budgets, track finances, and maintain client relationships in various industries.
- Liaise with and support other engineering disciplines, and may participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and public meetings.
Requirements:
- Degree in earth or environmental sciences, environmental/chemical/geological engineering, or a similar program.
- 3+ years of consulting experience in the environmental industry, with strong experience in federal and provincial environmental laws and regulations within a Canadian jurisdiction.
- Technical expertise in environmental site assessments and remediation approaches, with experience working with diverse multidisciplinary and/or international project teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, financial literacy, and experience managing project budgets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, EQuIS, and ArcGIS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience working at downstream and/or upstream oil and gas sites.
- Experience managing contaminated sites projects with consulting values over $100K, or as a project manager or technical designer.
- Professional designation as a professional geologist, engineer, biologist, or agrologist in Alberta and/or Saskatchewan.
