Key Responsibilities- Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish and optimal paint adhesion.
- Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings to create a seamless finish.
- Mix paint to the desired color and texture, taking into account the specific requirements of each project.
- Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a precise and professional finish.
- Advise clients on colors and choice of wall coverings, providing expert recommendations to enhance the aesthetic appeal of their spaces.
- Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging as needed to ensure safe and efficient access to work areas.
- Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, meeting the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
As a Painter and Decorator at Royal Leaf Painting Inc., you will work in a variety of locations, including residential and commercial settings. You will be required to travel to different sites, and may be asked to relocate for specific projects.
Requirements- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the painting and decorating industry.
- Ability to work outdoors, underground, at heights, and in confined spaces.
- Willingness to relocate for specific projects.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment as required.
- Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
- Hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Client-focused and able to provide excellent customer service.
- Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
