We are seeking a highly qualified French Immersion Teacher to join our team at School District #39 (Vancouver). As a French Immersion Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching French language and culture to students in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will have a strong background in French language and culture, as well as experience in teaching French Immersion to students of various ages and skill levels. You will be expected to create engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide feedback to students and parents.
Responsibilities:- Teach French language and culture to students in a French Immersion setting
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
- Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent
- Native-like fluency in oral and written French
- Ability to pass a French Immersion fluency assessment or have completed a long practicum in immersion
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
