Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with various physical and cognitive disabilities to help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote independence and self-management.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between healthcare settings.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based research to continuously improve patient outcomes and services.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized Occupational Therapy program.
  • Registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address complex patient needs.
