Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Horizon Health Network. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for coordinating bed utilization activities and overseeing the administrative functioning of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize hospital functioning during weekday operations by coordinating bed utilization activities
  • Assist with staffing requirements by assigning staff to meet current patient care needs
  • Evaluate nursing resources and trends to ensure the best utilization of available resources
  • Act as a clinical resource and knowledgeable of staff delegated to perform advanced nursing procedures
  • Work with managers and assist the Nursing Resource Coordinator with various projects
  • Make decisions to meet patient care needs and attend relevant meetings
  • Assign Code Blue Teams and assist with emergency air transfers
  • Adhere to hospital policies and operations while supporting staff
Requirements
  • Current registration with NANB
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 5 years nursing experience
  • Progressive nursing experience with leadership ability and confidence in nursing
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of maturity and initiative
  • Able to function independently
