About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at 13625206 Canada Inc Corp. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Installation
    • Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with tiles
    • Mix and apply adhesives using hand trowels
    • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
    • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish
  • Task Management
    • Prepare rough plans and sketches for tile installations
    • Estimate costs and materials required for projects
    • Supervise other workers on site
  • Specialized Tasks
    • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
    • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
    • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs
    • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Work in a physically demanding environment, requiring manual labor and attention to detail
    • Ability to distinguish between colors and maintain a high level of hand-eye coordination
  • Personal Qualities
    • Accurate and detail-oriented, with excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Team player with a hardworking attitude and ability to work under pressure
    Requirements
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • Will train on the job
    Work Conditions
    • 35 hours per week
    • Permanent work term
