Job Title: Cashier (Part-Time)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Giant Tiger in Greenwood, NS. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating electronic cash registers, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high level of customer service at the checkout counters
  • Accurately record customer transactions in electronic cash registers and self-checkouts
  • Replenish merchandise around the checkout area
  • Ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout work area
  • Ensure Loss prevention best practices are followed
  • Comply with all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery

Requirements:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Schedule:

A typical part-time schedule will be a mix of days, evenings, and weekends, up to 24 hours weekly.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include standing and/or walking, bending, twisting, and squatting, lifting and/or moving up to 18 kg (40 lbs), performing tasks involving firm grasping, and operating equipment such as ladders.
