Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education Support Specialist to join our team at School District #48 (Sea to Sky). As an Education Support Specialist, you will provide assistance to students with physical disabilities, chronic health impairments, intellectual disabilities, and/or social, emotional, and behavioral problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the Principal(s) and general supervision of the Classroom Teacher(s), provide support to students with designated needs.
  • Support the achievement of stated program goals and objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure student success.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide basic first aid and respond to emergencies as needed.
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 12 plus a special program and over six (6) months up to and including one (1) year's related experience.
  • A special program would be the Capilano University Education Assistant Program.
  • Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of basic first aid.
  • Basic knowledge of related learning tools (e.g., computers, etc.).
