Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Job Summary:

This is a key member of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team responsible for establishing business partner relationships with the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reviews and analysis with the executive team.
  • Customer pricing, costing, and profitability analysis.
  • Financial modeling and analysis.
  • Sales forecasting by business unit, product category, channel, and location.
  • Analyzing and reviewing product and gross margins by customer on a monthly basis.
  • Partnering with sales and marketing groups to manage price changes and make recommendations for margin improvements.
  • Partnering with operations teams on cost reductions and continuous improvement projects.
  • Analyzing and interpreting monthly financial results and underlying data to explain variances to budget, prior periods, and forecast on a proactive basis.
  • Developing and enhancing tools to improve financial infrastructure and organizational effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or CGA).
  • 2-3 years of accounting and analysis experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise 1 (E1), Business Intelligence, or Gains Demand Planning Software is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of inventory analysis and cost accounting, including bill of material, overhead application, and production variances.
  • High proficiency in Excel, Pivot Tables, and database manipulation is essential.
  • Strategic thinker, good communicator, and exceptional problem solver.
  • Ability to communicate financial objectives and requirements.
  • Performs functions with a sense of purpose and a degree of urgency.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required to meet tight deadlines.
