Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Scotiabank is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the effective management of Global Contact Centres (GCC) strategic projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the successful execution of International Banking related projects for the Canadian Contact Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure project adherence to Scotiabank project management policies and standards, delivering on time, scope, and budget.
  • Create business cases in accordance with Scotiabank's PMO guidelines.
  • Organize workstreams and RACIs to ensure clear roles and accountabilities.
  • Manage project scoping, defining objectives, deliverables, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Identify required team members, define project governance, and establish steering committees.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with internal clients, articulating and documenting desired business outcomes.
  • Prepare project management documentation, including project charter, schedule, budget, communication plan, risk assessment, and integrated project plan.
  • Coordinate business requirements definition with business leads and subject matter experts.
  • Ensure project key deliverables are reviewed, discussed, and approved by relevant parties.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure integrated project plans hold key milestones.
  • Manage project execution, creating a robust project plan, identifying dependencies, and tracking activities.
  • Proactively manage, raise, and resolve project risks and issues, defining mitigation plans.
  • Manage project budget, preparing cost forecasts, accruals, and year-end carry forwards.
  • Communicate project status to senior management, preparing executive-level presentations and project dashboards.
  • Ensure adherence to the Project Change Management process.
  • Lead operational and financial activities to close projects, ensuring successful transition to ongoing processes.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project team members, leveraging resources to maximize performance and productivity.
Requirements:
  • Fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking).
  • 7-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager with Agile and Waterfall project experience.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of Contact Centre strategies, operations, Voice & Non-Voice channels, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Strong communication skills, energetic, self-motivated, with the ability to create a collaborative process across stakeholders.
  • Strong initiative, forward thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong PC/software skills, particularly in MS Office suite and project design tools.
  • Business background in financial services with knowledge of retail banking products, sales processes, and distribution channels.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, with the ability to create clear, concise executive-level presentations.
  • Able to create structure out of ambiguous situations.
  • Knowledge of Scotiabank's standard project processes.
  • PMP Designation.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
