Key Responsibilities:

As a Licensed Mechanic at First Student, your primary role will be to maintain and repair school buses, ensuring their readiness and safety. Your main duties will include:
  • Conducting preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual MTO maintenance assessments.
  • Diagnosing and executing all aspects of vehicle and equipment repairs, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
  • Completing work orders with accuracy.
  • Providing assistance with mobile emergency services.
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license is required;
  • Must hold a T license
  • Possession of a mechanic's tool set
  • Willingness to engage in the ASE certification program, with training, testing, and bonuses available
