Compensation Overview

  • Salary range of $100,000 to $125,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Role Summary

The Construction Estimator and Project Coordinator will oversee all facets of project estimation and management, including initiation, securing permits, collaborating with subcontractors, and preparing tenders, budgets, estimates, and schedules. This role requires close cooperation with both internal and external teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution while upholding design integrity and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate project initiation, permitting, and management processes.
  • Develop tender documents, budgets, estimates, and schedules.
  • Manage invoicing, progress draws, and documentation control.
  • Conduct site meetings with trade contractors and handle RFIs and invoices.
  • Process change orders and resolve contractual issues promptly.
  • Finalize agreements with subcontractors.
  • Supervise both internal and external contractors.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for site superintendents and subcontractors.
  • Provide on-site construction guidance and oversight.
  • Coordinate workforce requirements with the VP of Operations.
  • Ensure project teams understand contract terms.
  • Maintain positive client relationships.
  • Oversee project activities, resources, scheduling, documentation, and budgets.
  • Plan project timelines and milestones effectively.
  • Establish tracking mechanisms for project progress and stakeholder reporting.
  • Conduct meetings to gather stakeholder feedback and expectations.
  • Monitor project costs and seek additional funding as necessary.
  • Supervise third-party contractors and manage billing.
  • Conduct project evaluations and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure construction aligns with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Authorize all personnel transactions and requests related to the project.
  • Enforce company and project policies and standards.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Operations Manager.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Construction, Engineering, Project Management, or related fields.
  • Preferred: Canadian Construction Association Gold Seal Certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction.
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong knowledge of construction trades and techniques.
  • Excellent management, planning, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with workplace regulations at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong track record of client satisfaction.
  • Results-oriented with effective time management skills.
  • Knowledge of contract management principles.
  • Experience in successful project delivery.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficient in organizing meetings and feedback sessions.
