About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our acute inpatient team at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. As a key member of our Allied Health Services team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our commitment to excellence in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive nutrition care plans for patients with acute and medically complex nutrition needs.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' nutritional status and provide evidence-based recommendations for nutrition interventions.
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on nutrition-related topics.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in nutrition and dietetics.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited program in Human Nutrition or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a Dietetic Internship.
- Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Dietitians.
- Member of Dietitians of Canada.
- Experience working in acute care settings, with a strong understanding of nutritional needs and assessment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
