Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

At CANADA INC., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales staff, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and sales performance.
  • Assign tasks and duties to sales staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Hire, train, and develop sales staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Authorize payments, manage inventory, and oversee payroll administration.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient stockroom operations.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of office and volunteer staff, ensuring seamless store operations.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and heavy workloads.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on business or a related field.
Working Conditions:

  • Standing for extended periods, with occasional heavy lifting and bending.
