About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to lead the planning and management of capital projects related to fixed asset infrastructure, including rapid bus/transit priority, park and rides, exchanges, low carbon transit operations, and maintenance facility retrofits and bus stop/station projects.

This dynamic role will be responsible for developing and implementing transit supportive infrastructure, overseeing the development of business cases for BC Transit, and collaborating with leaders across the organization to improve and develop the program.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, effective project management experience, and the ability to direct, manage, and mentor internal project management staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement transit supportive infrastructure projects
  • Oversee the development of business cases for BC Transit
  • Collaborate with leaders across the organization to improve and develop the program
  • Direct, manage, and mentor internal project management staff
  • Develop and implement project management models, financial management, and contract law
Requirements
  • PMP Designation
  • Experience as a Senior Project or Program Manager
  • Professional engineer registered in British Columbia
  • Previous experience as a Project or Program Manager within government or other large agency
  • Effective leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of various types of construction methodologies, project management models, financial management, building codes, contract law, and relevant legislation in British Columbia
