Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical mentorship and support to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Develop and implement education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff, aligning with Island Health's strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and promote a patient-centered approach.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to nursing staff, fostering a culture of growth and development.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines, applying evidence-based knowledge to inform education and mentorship initiatives.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Three (3) years recent, related nursing experience in the designated clinical practice area(s), including experience mentoring nursing staff and leadership training.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle may be required.
