We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Dunphy's Poultry Farm Ltd. as a key member of our logistics team.
Key Responsibilities- Transport Goods Safely: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, performing preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Logistics Coordination: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, professionalism, and communication skills when interacting with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and experience in the transportation industry, with a valid driver's license and Air Brakes Endorsement.
- Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and maintain attention to detail.
- Communication and Teamwork: Excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgment, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
