About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at ANDRITZ Hydro Canada. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for leading the electrical installation activities on site, ensuring safe and cost-effective execution of electrical installation works in accordance with the project schedule and quality specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of supervisors and electricians to plan, coordinate, and execute electrical installation activities on site.
  • Develop and implement electrical installation plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian electrical codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Construction Manager and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Manage and coordinate electrical site staff requirements, including supervision and labor.
  • Prepare and optimize tooling lists and coordinate procurement.
  • Participate in risk assessments and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably on Canadian construction unionized sites.
  • Proven leadership ability within a team context.
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of electrical equipment and Canadian electrical codes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, French an asset.
  • Hydro-electric project knowledge an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team work skills, and autonomy.
  • Ability to multitask and shift between many different projects and initiatives with tight deadlines.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
