Job Summary:

The Health Care Aide (HCA) plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support services in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a valued member of the Alberta Health Services team, the HCA will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to deliver safe, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with basic personal care and hygiene, lifting, and transferring of patients
  • Provide patient nutrition and feeding as necessary
  • Change linens, gather equipment, and restock supplies
  • Porter patients and supplies as needed
  • Support activities of daily living and provide comfort and support services to patients

Requirements:

  • Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
  • Confirmation letter as proof of enrolment from the Directory
  • Nursing students currently enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program with a minimum of 100 hours of practicum
