About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team at the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in the Care for Newcomer Children Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement a Child Lead Play Program that promotes learning and development in children aged 6 months to 10 years.
  • Deliver developmentally appropriate activities that respond to the diverse needs and learning styles of children.
  • Work collaboratively with the Person in Charge and CNC Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
  • Provide a safe and inclusive environment that promotes the well-being and dignity of all children.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience and qualifications in the field of Early Childhood Education.
  • Ability to work with diverse clients and implement a Child Lead Play Program.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a team.
