About First Student Shared Services
We are a leading provider of student transportation services, serving over 5 million students and passengers daily. Our family of brands includes Transco, Total Transportation, Maggies Paratransit, and GVC II.
Why Become a School Bus Driver?
- $20 per hour starting wage
- No prior experience necessary; we provide comprehensive training
- Additional hours available through charter route opportunities
- Child ride-along program
- No night shifts or weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure student safety by following established routes and protocols
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain a safe and reliable fleet
- Provide support to students by assisting with boarding and exiting the bus
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless transportation services
Requirements
- Good verbal communication skills
- At least 21 years old
- Valid driver's license for at least 1 year
- Pass a Ministry-prescribed medical examination and background checks
