About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Core Systems Developer to join our team at Equitable Life of Canada. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in designing and enhancing a wide range of solutions using various technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Collaborate with our team of developers to design and enhance a wide range of solutions using a variety of technologies, including.NET framework,.NET 6/7, SQL Server, and other technologies.
  2. System Design: Recommend and implement system designs based on our long-term IT organization strategy.
  3. Problem-Solving: Analyze production system problems and recommend solutions, and investigate and solve production problems with minimal guidance.
  4. Technology Research: Research and recommend technologies to the team and management to help keep our tech stack up-to-date.
Requirements
  1. Technical Skills: Proficiency in C#.Net (VB.Net acceptable) with at least 1-2 years of relevant experience, solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Transact SQL with at least 2 years of relevant experience, experience with SOAP and/or RESTful services, and hands-on experience using testing frameworks (i.e. NUnit, etc.).
  2. Soft Skills: High motivation to be a team player, ability to be a strong individual contributor, effective verbal and written communications, and ability to effectively convey information, concepts, and ideas to others.
  3. Education: Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
