Opportunity Overview
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for our London office. In this role, you will excel at prioritizing tasks and maintaining a focus on overarching project goals. Oversee design management in relation to construction budgets. Conduct reviews of existing installations and assess their impact on projects. Prepare calculations and select equipment, delegating tasks to design and CAD teams as necessary. Ensure effective coordination among project teams, including architects and other disciplines. Review all project deliverables for accuracy and completeness at various stages. Uphold company standards for project administration and documentation. Act as contract administrator when required, ensuring timely completion of contract activities. Manage the shop drawing review process within project timelines. Coordinate with contract administration teams regarding drawing reviews and site activities. Prepare and review change notices as needed. Ensure tasks are completed accurately and within budgeted hours. Address technical and financial inquiries related to projects. Keep the Principal-in-charge informed of scope changes and prepare contract amendments for client review. Support accounts receivable processes. Liaise with external consultants and vendors to facilitate smooth project delivery. Organize and participate in client meetings, delivering presentations as required. Candidate Profile Minimum of five years of project engineering experience in mechanical building services. Current P.Eng. designation or eligibility to qualify within one year; senior C.E.T. with equivalent experience may also be considered. Strong knowledge of provincial building codes, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards. Ability to communicate codes and standards requirements effectively to all project stakeholders. Understanding of construction project procurement methodologies. Proven leadership qualities and ability to work independently. Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects and clients. Excellent communication skills demonstrated through effective client and staff interactions. Experience coordinating with other consultants and contractors on major projects. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. LEED certification or experience with sustainable design projects is an asset. Accommodations
