Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
- Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to maintain high-quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen operations.
- Cleaning and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Buffet and Banquet Management: Organize and manage buffets and banquets to ensure seamless execution.
- Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
- Support for Youths: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience an asset.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
