As a vital member of the accounting team, the Commercial LED Advisor will report directly to the Director of Accounting and play a crucial role in overseeing the commercial accounting sector.
This position requires exceptional analytical skills and a strong background in financial accounting.The successful candidate will be instrumental in enhancing business processes and will actively contribute to the goals of the Commercial Construction and Asset Management divisions.
Responsibilities include ensuring all financial reporting functions are executed accurately and promptly for all corporate commercial assets.Manage the month-end closing procedures to guarantee a seamless and precise closing process.
Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and various ad hoc reports for the management team.
Implement and oversee internal controls, business processes, and procedures.
Handle GST filings and manage online communications.
Act as a liaison between the accounting department, asset management division, and the estimating and construction teams to ensure job cost accuracy and proper approvals.
Assist with special projects, assignments, and ad hoc requests.A minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting is required.
Proficiency in technology with advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
Experience in commercial construction and/or property management is preferred.
CPA designation, accounting diploma, or equivalent qualifications are necessary.
