Entry-Level Architect Intern

Position Overview:

The role is designed for a junior to intermediate intern architect currently engaged in a registration internship. This individual will support the local principal(s) and transit director as part of the expanding Alberta Transit team. The candidate should possess strong design and technical abilities appropriate to their experience level, along with excellent communication skills. Previous experience in Construction Administration is a plus, and familiarity with LRT and Aviation projects is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with team members, including team leads, principals, and the director, to engage in all phases of Transit project development.
  • Participate in client consultations and coordinate with various consultant disciplines.
  • Create design and construction documentation using Revit and CAD software.
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Registered with the AAA or actively pursuing registration.
  • Experience in Transit and/or Aviation projects is preferred.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience across various institutional, governmental, industrial, and commercial projects.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino & Grasshopper, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Project scheduling software, including WORD and EXCEL.
