Job Overview

Basmala Flooring Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Tilesetter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tile installation and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in tile setting
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be tiled
  • Mix, apply, and spread various adhesives such as mortar and cement using hand tools
  • Create rough plans and sketches for tile layouts
  • Set tiles in position and apply pressure to secure them
  • Ensure tiles are aligned and straight
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles using hand and power tools
  • Pack grout into joints and remove any excess
  • Replace cracked or damaged tiles as necessary
  • Construct underbeds and install necessary fixtures
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces
  • Install tile strips as required
Work Environment
  • Physical demands include bending, crouching, and kneeling
