Supporting Student Success as an Educational Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team at Calgary Christian Elementary School. As a key member of our student support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the academic and personal success of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide educational instruction and support to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement Individual Program Plans (IPPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student.
- Assist students with accessing technology and other resources to enhance their learning experience.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless student support.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in student support and education.
- Completion of a recognized post-secondary certificate or vocational certificate in child care/development or behaviour management, with demonstrated successful practicum experience working with students with special needs.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certificates (Child CPR Certificate is a strong asset).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
